First, I'd like to thank our founding fathers for declaring independence from Great Britain. If it weren't for them we wouldn't have the freedoms we take for granted everyday. I'd also like to thank them for giving me the pleasure of a 4 day week! As horrible as it is, come 4th of July, I look forward to eating mass amounts of food, drinking heavily, and watching the fireworks every year. Never does it cross my mind why we celebrate this day. I mean sure, it's called Independence Day, but how many people actually sit back and think about 1776 and the signing of the Declaration of Independence? I'm really not quite sure if anyone would actually do that. Hmm.. I wonder.Anyway, I'm hoping this week will go by fast(er). I've got a job interview tonight, shopping to do for this weekend, (I'm helping my dad is making breakfast Saturday morning - for 40 people!), wrapping presents for our family Yankee Swap, and packing!
I figured I'd add this link in as an after thought. It's about my family and the island, so it kind of relates.
